Angela was a patient of mine back in October 2014, just before she got diagnosed. I saw her again just before Christmas of that same year when she told me she had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I was devastated. Despite this news, she remained full of life despite being so ill. She was happy and smiling. I am sad to hear of her passing on the one year anniversary of her death. May her soul now rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences to the family of Angi ... I went to high school with Angi and she was one of the nicest most sincere people I met at NDSS - I'll always remember her beaming smile when we showed up at the football games with the other male cheerleaders in the dudes.
We all miss you Angi,

We were partners for one of the most nerve-wracking, yet childish presentations we had ever done. My time with you in our TESOL course is one that I will remember. You were a wonderful German teacher and friend. It was so nice to know you. Slumber in peace.

My name is Marianne - I was Angi's roommate at Trillium Hospital for a time being in December of 2014. There's no other way for me to describe her - Angi was my guardian angel. She came into my life when I needed a friend/ perfect roomate/ confidant/ guardian angel the most. I was struggling, recovering from surgery, but having Angi there helped comfort me and lift my spirits. We became fast friends. We connected (of course, unfortunately) over our aches and pains and difficulty eating (we would compare what horrid food the hospital was serving us - and warn each other what to stay away from and what was "safe")…on a lighter note we connected over our love of Downton Abbey, and German friends and things! But most importantly we connected over losing parents - I lost my mother to Cancer when she was only 49 years old, and so Angi's young diagnosis, and now passing, has resonated whole heartedly with me. Life is not fair, but Angi seemed to face her diagnosis and fate with a courage and grace I can only aspire to have one day. I feel blessed to have met Angi, and will forever be thankful for her coming into my hospital room and life when she did! I told Angi - I believe my Mother up in heaven saw that I was struggling and sent Angi to be my roommate for a reason :) Even though I only spent less than one week's time with Angi in total (4 day as roommates, 1 day visiting in hospital, and 1 day visiting her at home) I will never forget her - she made a lasting impression on my heart and as a friend in my life. My husband feels the same way - he spent all day every day in the hospital with me, and so got to know Angi as well. It made him feel much better having to leave me every night - knowing Angi and I were there to look out for one another. My husband Peter took part in the Ride to Conquer Cancer for the first time this past June. He has already signed up to raise money and cycle from Toronto to Niagara Falls again in next years ride. He wore, and will continue to wear in the future, socks with the names of friends and family who have been affected by Cancer - including his grandparent's names, my mother's name, and Angi's name! Each and every year Angi will be with him - helping to power his legs on. She will be remembered! Each and every time I watch an episode of Downtown Abbey I will think of and remember the day I spent with Angi on her couch marathon-watching season 5 :) She was good enough to re-watch episodes with me because I wasn't caught up yet! My husband and I are going to Europe this September, Italy and Germany in particular. When we are in Germany enjoying the beautiful sites, and food, and chocolate and cookies in particular - we will think of Angi. She spoke fondly of Germany and her favourite German things :) In addition, please know - most everywhere I go in the world, in every church I visit, I light a candle and say a prayer for my Mother, other family members and loved ones who have passed, and now I will include Angi in my thoughts and prayers. She will have candles lit all over Europe for her this fall :) She was too good a person to be so sick. She was too young to pass away so soon. She was an amazing soul, friend, and fittingly I will always consider Angela my guardian angel !! My deepest sincerest condolences to you all - Angi's Mom, George, Brother, Sister in law, and Nieces. It was a pleasure meeting you - thank you for listening to all I've had to say and share about Angi. I will always consider it a divine intervention and one of my life's honours to have met Angela.

My deepest and sincere sympathy goes out to Angi ' s family, to George and his family , to all of those who had the honour to stand in the circle of the light that shone from her. She was a magnet that drew you to her and kept you mesmerized by her voice, her gift of song and her loving kindness that she expressed through her huge and loving HUGS. My heart aches in sadness even as I know she is relieved of her pain and suffering. God made an express line today, just for Angi to claim her wings. Rest now sweet woman and watch over those who mourn the loss of you on earth. Until we meet again. Love Jules xo

My deepest Condolences to Angi's family, George and all her friends. I know she has many. She was a wonderful lady, with so much warmth every time we saw her. She sung a song that had you wanting to listen to her for hours. I always said, she had a voice of an angel, and now she will be singing up above, and watching over everyone while singing her heart out.
Angi touched so many lives, and I know one day we will all see her again. She will be watching down upon all those she loved. We truly were blessed to know her.
Angi will never be forgotten.
