Obituary of Reimund Jakubowski

Reimund Jakubowski “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will act.” Psalm 37:5 Passed away peacefully July 19, 2015 at the age of 88. Reimund was well known and respected in the residential construction community in Sudbury as the owner of Bejac Construction Ltd. He was a proud member of the Sudbury Home Builders Association and served as its President for several years. In later years, he rekindled his passion for beekeeping and became well known in the district as a beekeeping advocate, teaching beekeeping courses and establishing Sudbury Bee Supplies to serve local beekeepers. He sold his honey at the local farmers market and made many friends among the vendors and customers. Beloved husband of Johanna (Hanna) Jakubowski (nee Weigel) predeceased. Brother of Lilli Welter and Marta Walt both predeceased. Loving Papa of Erika Schieman (Frank) of Sudbury, Reiner Jakubowski (Lex) of Waterloo, Albert Jakubowski (Kanesia) of Cobourg, Helga Favron (Gerry) of Waterloo and Krista Bossey (Gord) of Kitchener. Cherished Opa to Devin Schieman (Sara), Lisa Di Cosmo (Mauro), Patrick Bossey (Jennifer), Laura Bossey, Sarah Bossey, Anna Jakubowski, Patti Jakubowski, Nicholas Jakubowski, Adam Heeley and Julianne McLaren (Luke). Deeply missed by his great grandchildren Ethan, Sophie and Gabriella. Memorial service to be held at the Vineland Chapel of the TALLMAN FUNERAL HOMES, 3277 King St. Vineland, Ontario on Saturday August 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario on a later date. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Maison Vale Hospice, Canadian Lutheran World Relief or Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church (Sudbury) Memorial Fund.
