I am so sorry to hear of Max's passing. I taught with Max at Eastdale SS in the 90's and he was such a genuine person. He was intersted in you and your life and I remember that he was a living witness for his Lord. He has left a legacy of faith and a loving concern for others. That's how I will remember him. My sympathy to the whole family.

I have known Max since the 70's, and have many good memories of the farm and the family. Most of all I appreciate his wholehearted dedication to serving our Lord. He was unwavering in his faith. He was an encouragement to me. I always loved his testimonies in the meetings. He patiently bore me in my difficult youth time, when I spent some weeks living in their family home.
Thank you Max for your faithfulness, and your example of a living faith.

Max made a deep impression on me, though I only knew him for a few years. I have never before spent time with someone who would engage anyone, in any circumstance, in a discussion of their (and his) faith in God.
Max challenged me to be a better person spiritually. He asked questions, from the beginning, that made me think about why I do certain things. He made me look at scriptures with fresh eyes and to examine why I believe what I believe.
I will miss Max who made me feel like a part of his family in so many ways.
