Obituary of Rheta Pearl Bartlett

Bartlett, Rheta Pearl (nee Dawdy) - aged 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Rheta was born December 30, 1926 in St Anns, Ontario to Richard and Winnifred Dawdy. Rheta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Spending time with all her family warmed her heart. Rheta will be remembered by her family and friends as a gentle, caring and compassionate woman. Rheta loved to travel, play cards, triominoes, dart baseball, socialize with family and friends or anything that involved the love of her life, her husband, Jim. Rheta was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, James C. Bartlett, her son, Scott Bartlett, her two brothers, Stan Dawdy and Carson Dawdy, her sister, Muriel Hill and many aunts and uncles. Rheta is survived by her daughters, Nancy and Jenny, sons, Norman, Craig and David, in-laws, Don Peters, Debbie Wenger, Judy (nee Campbell), Carissa Ciszek, Michelle (nee Pharand) and Joanne (nee George); 13 loving grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in law, Kay Dawdy, brother-in-law, George Bartlett. Burial will be at the Mount Osborne Cemetery, Beamsville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM at the Tallman Funeral Home 3277 King Street, Vineland, Ontario. A funeral service will be held the following day on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Tallman Funeral Home in Vineland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation 167 Main Street East, Grimsby, Ontario.
