Obituary of Jean Henrietta Reid (McKay)

Jean Henrietta Reid (McKay) October 5, 1917 – January 3, 2016 Jean passed away peacefully January 3, 2016, in her 99th year, in the presence of her granddaughters Carrie and Dawn, at Albright Manor, Beamsville, Ontario. Daughter of the late Malcolm and Jane (McCallum) McKay. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Garlett Reid for over 65 years. Predeceased by her son Ralph (late Mary). Survived by her son Bill (Maureen), daughter Ruth (John Henderson), both in Ottawa, and her sister Connie McKay in Cannington, Ontario. Also survived by five grandchildren, Carrie, Dawn (Pat), Michael (Andréa), Leslie (Matthew) and Stephen (Miyako) and eight great grandchildren Marysa, Jenna, Sara, Oscar, Éloïse, Clemente, Neena and Kamina, and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the 5th Floor South staff at Albright Manor for their many years of superb care and kindness. Donations can be made in Jean’s memory to Albright Manor, 5050 Hillside Drive, Beamsville, Ontario, L0R 1B2, or a charity of your choice. A memorial graveside service will be held at Mount Osborne Cemetery, Beamsville, On Thursday June 23rd at 10 a.m.
