Rick, Tom and Family,
Our deepest sympathy to all the Kerber family. You come from good roots. I met Mrs Kerber only a few times in my life and she struck me as a nice lady and a good mother. She had a warm smile and was a woman of kind words. May she rest in peace.

Being a neighbourhood kid, to me Lydia was first someone else’s mom. But later, after I’d moved away I would usually see her once per year at my Dad’s barbecue and I always enjoyed stopping to say hello and check in on her perspectives on life and times. In her presence I always felt seen, appreciated, and encouraged. She had a wonderful sense of humour, a joyous spirit, and a kind heart; her love for people sparkled in her eyes.
To Richard & Lillian, and Tom & Monica, and your families: I offer my heartfelt condolences for your loss, and trust that wonderful memories of your family times together will be a comfort in the days ahead.
Sincerely, Betty Wiens
