Obituary of Kate Sherk

Peacefully, in her 99th year Mary Kathleen Sherk passed away April 11th, 2024 at the Orchardview Apartments,United Mennonite Home in Vineland, Ontario. Kate was the 7th child of Gordon and Lillian (Wintemute) of Stevensville, Ontario. She is survived by her sister Marion Sandler of Spring Lake, North Carolina. She was predeceased by her siblings Dorothy Sherk, Margaret Hasty, John, James, Mark, Gordon (Si) and Coral Lutz. Left to mourn are many nieces and nephews.

Kate resided in Kitchener for most of her life and was a member of the Rosebank Brethren in Christ Church.

She moved to Vineland in 2018 to be closer to her family and has spent the last 6 years receiving excellent care at the Orchardview Apartments. The family would like to thank Dr. Woodland for his compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the United Mennonite Home, Vineland, Ontario.

Funeral service will be at Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St., Vineland, Wednesday April 17th at 11:00 A.M. Interment Thursday April 18th at 2:00pm at the Brethren in Christ Cemetery , Church Road, Stevensville, Ontario.
