Obituary of Elsie Marie Crown

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Elsie Crown (Holmwood), who died peacefully on May 11, 2024, at Linhaven Long-term Care in St Catharines at the age of 95. Loving mother to Doug Crown (Patricia). Cherished grandmother of Christopher (Karis), and Michelle (Nicolai). Loving sister to Marjorie and Merle. She will be greatly missed by her great grandchildren Weston, River, Kendra and James. Elsie is predeceased by her husband Chester and her parents Stanley and Gertrude. 

Elsie was a warm and generous person who loved to be in the garden, baking her famous butter tarts, doing puzzles, helping with chores on the farm and above all loved spending time with her family.

Her family would like to extend their appreciation to the PSW’s and nurses at Linhaven where she lived out the last few years of her life.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of life will take place at a later date at the family farm.
