First Janet and I would like to offer our deepest condolences to Shirley and the rest of John's family. John and I have known each other for over thirty five years. We met when we both worked as oilers on the midnight shift at General Motors. We soon realized we both had a great love for golf and went on to play together as often as we could. Our favorite times were when we went on golf vacations in Myrtle Beach , sometimes with the boys and sometimes with the families. I also found out that my father in law John Peterson and John were great buddies when they were younger, what a small world we live in. John was one of the nicest persons I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, always ready to tell you a joke or just say something when you were feeling down. I had not seen John in quite some time but as fate would have it I ran into Shari at the hospital when John was in. I went up to visit him and it was as if we were never apart. He started recalling all the crazy things we did and wanted me to take him to the golf course next year and ride around in the cart. I promised him I would but unfortunately that is not to be. Rest assured every time I play golf John is always with me. Our mutual golfing buddies are truly saddened by his passing and all have a funny story to remember John by (Kevin, Joe, Peter, Danny and Paul). He will always be remembered!
