Obituary of Gisela Goering

Goering, Gisela (nee Kraus) - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother Gisela Goering, on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, in St.Catharines, at the Heidehof Home of the Aged, at the age of 85. Gisela is survived by children Hugo (Linda), Olav, Ingrid (Wally), and Angela (Jeff). She was loving Oma to Amanda, Jessica, Adam, Steven and Alexander. She is preceded in death by her husband Jakob Goering, her daughter Heidi, and her two brothers Wolfgang and Neco (South America). Gisela was born in Asuncion, Paraguay on January 31, 1931. In 1954 she married the love of her life, Jakob Goering and they moved to Canada in 1959. Visitation will take place at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St. on Sunday, December 18 from 2-5pm. Funeral Service at Grace Lutheran Church, 213 Linwell Rd. St.Catharines, on Monday, December 19 at 11:00am with a reception to follow. Rev. Richard Juritsch officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Gisela's life. Memorial donations may be made to Heidehof Benevolent Society.
