I heard late last week that Hugo had died. Our families have known each other for years. My father John Schmidt and Constantine were best friends since they were very young. The families all lived together in Reesor. Uncle Hugo was my mentor when i decided to be baptized @st. Catherines United Mennonite church. He was a wonderful educator, kind, patient and lots of fun. Our thoughts are with the family at this time. Vicki, John and Anita Siemens

Lora I am so sorry to hear about Hugo's passing. "Blue Eyes" will be missed. His smile forever made my days better no matter what was going on. His laugh was contagious even when it was at my expense. Hugo was a brilliant and eloquent man and Heaven will be much brighter with him there. My love and thoughts to your whole family at this difficult time. I feel blessed to have known him, and to have the honour of getting to know you as well. He is home with God and his smile will continue to light up the sky.
