I just learn of Sadie's passing. She lived a very long but rich life. I enjoyed visiting with her often several years ago when I was up staying with my mother and helping my nieces with their paper route. She was always cheerful. As a student (many years ago) at GLCC I respected her contributions to the school and the community.

Doug, June and all the family , very sorry to hear of Dear Aunt Sadie's passing. She was such a great lady, creating many fond memories from early childhood . Apologizing for not writing sooner, had visited the only other surviving member of that generation of family in California and been traveling from Arizona to Florida and back to Arizona. She surely is missed by all.

Doug, Ralph, Ron and families,
In memory, especially of your mother, and also your father, they have been a gracious gift to so many people at a time of need, and extended God's gift of compassion through their business practices. Honor, respect, and trust also come to mind as legacy they have shared with the community.
Blessings of God's peace be with you in remembrance of their love and faith.

Our family's condolences to yours. What an amazing life and legacy you have to celebrate!
We fondly remember Sadie and Oliver in the kitchen at Tintern potlucks: Oliver would be at the sink...sleeves rolled up washing dishes ...Sadie would be telling him what to do! They were a formidable team.
When I asked Greg what he remembered about Sadie, he remarked that she always seemed happy. I would add contentment and gentle spirit to that observation. A very admirable lady, indeed, who lived out the character of a Proverbs 31 women.
We are blessed to have known both Sadie and Oliver. Our love and prayers to you all.

Sadie,
Thank you for making so many Sundays so very special in my teenage years!
I have tried to do the same, with my own children...Your example was one of the very best! Your quiet, humble, worker bee life has always been a testament of values I strive for. Mom used to remind us that love is the bridge between heaven and earth. She was right. That is why, I feel so close to you right this very moment, even though you are now with Oliver, Joan, Linda, and so many others in heaven, even though I haven't seen you in a long while. You are surely one of God's finest. I love you...
My deepest, sincerest, condolences, to Doug, Ron, Ralph and families.

Greetings Dear Family. Dorothy & I just arrive back from a vacation in Mexico and very much regret missing the visitation earlier this week. Our sincere condolences to all of you but especially to Doug, Ron and Ralph who I (Henry) knew and grew up with in Campden. How dearly I remember your mother.....she was so very gracious when the Campden boys would come over on Saturday night to watch the hockey game. Some Saturdays it seemed like every guy in the village was there and your mother (I think Joan as well) would often prepare and pass out goodies. At times I was there more for the goodies than the game except during the Stanley Cup playoffs.... then the attention was focused on the Leafs winning!
Tallmans was the focal point in the Village....for most who went there it was because of a funeral service but for the village boys there was lots of other stuff that brought us there. I'm sure it was the only funeral home location in the Province where people came for other stuff....like the zoo, the woods, the ball hockey "tournaments" and of course the weekly gathering to watch the hockey game! Your mother was the last of an era!
May God bless each of you and we plan to attend the Memorial service.

To the Tallman family,
When George and I received the call that lovely Sadie had died, I was so saddened.
She has been such a special person in my life. Our visits were always so enjoyable, filled with stories, memories, and, laughter. She loved to talk about all sorts of things, was so filled with wisdom, and, encouragement. I have never met anyone as kind, caring and faithful as she. The strength of her faith sustained her, and, uplifted all who knew her.
Her earthly presence may be gone, but, her essence will remain in all of you.
She will always be in my heart.
Rest in peace, my sweet Sadie.
