Your mother always had such an engaging smile. Several times she recognized me while I was at Tabor visiting my parents. She was kind, gentle and encouraging to me as a child. She loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest extent. She has run the race, well done good and faithful servant!

The Cherry Avenue crop is thinning these days, not dropping - but harvested now in due course, unlike the premature pickings that rocked our burgeoning next-door-family down through the years.
John and Elfie contributed generously to that bountiful harvest; seeds planted and transplanted, nature-nurtured, crops matured and memories preserved in each bit of gravel on that road now long-paved. Maple Grove would have been extinct years ago, if not for pioneers like Elfie.
We grieve your Mother with you old friends, with Elfie's old friend our Mother, to whom she passed the torch at nearly 99.
Receive our love and affection,
Susan, Tom & Bill

Beautifully written, our dear aunt Elfie. Her younger sister, our mom, Alice babysat many times. We lived in Aunt Elfie and Uncle John's home where I was born. Homespun memories, small vineyard, barn, milking cow, chickens. Seeds planted and nature-nutured continues to still run deep within our blood. Thank you, recalling this precious foundation, it's roots eternal. Her hope in Jesus Christ was particularly encouraging in a deep journey. Loved planning her 80th BD, Lorraine (Driedger) Wiebe

I'm so sorry for the loss of your Mom and grandmother. Elfie was such a special lady. It didn't matter if you were a relative or not, you were always treated like family. I have such wonderful memories of her. Especially the fresh lemon meringue pies that awaited me every year I went to Florida. She will truly be missed.

When we moved to Ontario from Wpg. Man . Your parents became parents to us. We had a 9 month old baby at that time . Ken is now 61, hard to believe it is that long ago . Your parents gave us some furniture and we were often at your home for Sunday dinner . Your Mom was one special lady . She is now receiving her reward .
love and prayers to all .
