Obituary of Doreen Fretz

Fretz, Doreen (nee Johnston) has passed away after a long battle with cancer at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on July 27, 2013 in her 76th year. Beloved wife of Glenn Fretz for 57 years. Loving mother of Douglas Fretz & wife Laurie, and David Fretz & wife Patricia. Dear grandmother of Mindy, Dave Jr., Bradley, Jason & William. Dear great grandmother of Hannah, Wyatt, Owen & David III. Sister of Wayne, & wife Elaine. Predeceased by parents Manley & Alma and sisters Carol & Dawna. Also missed by nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Doreen was an employee of General Motors for 32 years. She enjoyed competitive sports. Doreen was the first women to bowl a 600 triple in St. Catharines. Mrs. Fretz loved to collect Light Houses from all over the world. She was on the Board of Directors for Seniors Centre Activities forming shuffleboard teams, card games, bus tours & the love for her favourite TV game, The Price Is Right. You are loved and missed by all. The family will receive friends at the VINELAND CHAPEL of the TALLMAN FUNERAL HOMES, 3277 King St., Vineland on Friday Aug. 2 from 1-3pm. A memorial service will take place at 3pm, followed by a reception in the Tallman Fireside Room. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the West Parry Sound Health Centre or the Canadian Cancer Society.
