Mr. Tom Bishop was a friend of my Dads way back in the day. Matter of fact back to the time when the Horse industry in Ontario really started up during the 1950's. Tom would visit our horse farm in Georgetown Ontario many times over the decades !
I will always remember Tom's BIG smile and the way he could entertain people was just amazing. He was a trail blazer in Rodeo with his Rodeo company. I still remember even though i was 5 or 6 my Dad Roy going over to England with Tom's Rodeo.
As a child i remember all of the gang back then and what a gang they were. They were men who became Cowboys and Horseman. Tom was right out front with everyone doing what they did best, work with horses. Tom took a step further and entertained people as well.
From my family the Ionson's to the Bishop family, our hearts are with you. We are all thinking of your family. Tom was a dear friend for so many decades, Roy and Joan wanted me to send their regards and love to you all reading this.
We have lost a truly wonderful man to the packed full arenas in heaven.

Jan, Tom jr., Sally and Sarah........my deepest condolences go out to each and every one of you . Unfortunately I will be out of town this weekend, but I wanted to express my sympathy and prayers for your family.
I didn't know Tom very well but I did see a lot of him at many of the girls numerous sporting activities. He was always very supportive to the kids and I remember him always with a very wide smile on his face, obviously very proud of his kids and their efforts and accomplishments. His work ethic, attention to details and pride in a job well done was imprinted in each of kids. The fact that each of them emulated what their Dad did was testament to that.
Rest in peace Tom !

I am very sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I only met him a couple of times when he visited Sarah and Sally while we were in college, but he definitely made a lasting impression on me and was larger than life and a breath of fresh air to those of us from the West who were out of our element in the Midwest for college. I loved hearing Sarah and Sally talk about their upbringing, which always centered around their dad. Much love to the Bishop family; my prayers are with you.
