Obituary of Robert Treflik

Treflik, Robert - August 13, 1960 - August 4, 2017, so of Helga Runge and the late Victor Treflik (1998), went to be with his Lord, at age 56, 9 days before his 57th birthday, at Brampton Civic Hospital, after suffering several heart attacks. 

Robert's education was begun in Montreal, QC from September 1965 to June 1969 and Missussauga, ON from September 1969 to June 1974, and he completed his education in Montreal, QC from September 1974 to June 1979.  In his senior years at Rosemount High, he started an apprecticeship program in woodworking with a Master Craftsman, which developed his love of tools and influenced his future career as a carpenter and cabinent maker.The summer of 1979 his grandparents and his family moved to St.Catharines.  Soon after that Robert moved to Toronto to live with his father and continue training in cabinetry.  From that time his work environment was in the Toronto area.  Until recently, family gatherings brought him back to St.Catharines but his life was where he worked. 

He is survived by siblings Elizabeth Willms, Thomas Treflik, Joe Treflik, Veronica Han and Christa Runge.  Nieces - Taylor Treflik, Erica Treflik, Kayla Treflik, nephew William Runge, nieces Alexandria Runge and Sofia Han.  We will keep his memory in our hearts.

Private family interment will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visitation on Friday, September 8th at St.Catharines United Mennonite Church, 335 Linwell Rd. St.Catharines, at 1:30p.m. followed by a Memorial service at 2:00p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage donations to be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation
