Obituary of Irma Beckershoff

Beckershoff, Irma (nee Strohschein) March 16, 1929 - August 26, 2017 -  It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Irma Beckershoff, beloved Mother and Oma on Saturday, the 26th of August, 2017.  Irma was born in Versmold, Germany on the 16th of March, 1929.   She was the daughter of the late Fritz and Agusta Strohschein.  Irma and Artur came to Canada in 1954, raised their two sons and worked very hard to make a good life in Ontario, Canada a country they loved very dearly.
Oma loved to garden and travel.  Flowers were always in bloom everywhere she touched.  Oma and Opa enjoyed traveling everywhere with their campers visiting family and close friends and extended family.  They loved their family dearly and enjoyed as much time as they could with everyone providing fantastic meals as an everyday occurrence.  Oma never complained and always had a kind word for everyone and she always knew how to make everyone feel loved.
Irma is survived by sons Ralph (Wanda) Nova Scotia, Michael (Lorraine) Ontario, grandchildren Crystal (Wayne) Nova Scotia, Jamie, Olivia, Nathalie and Julia, great grandchildren Alex, Cameron and Hayden and her very best friend Emmi.  She is pre-deceased by her husband Artur, sister Elisabeth and daughter-in-law Linda.
Our family is very grateful for the wonderful care and compassion Irma received from the staff of the United Mennonite Home in Vineland.
Funeral Service to be held on Friday, the 1st of September, 2017 at 10:30a.m. at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St.,Vineland, with a reception to follow.  Family burial to take place at 1:00p.m.
