Obituary of Elvera Mae Ciazynski

Ciazynski, Elvera (nee Shellenberg) – After a five year battle with ovarian cancer, Elvera passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on August 31st.  Beloved wife of Stephen Ciazynski for 44 years; loving mother of Christopher (Debra), Brian, and Gregory.  Elvira was predeceased by her mother Elsie Loveman, and her brothers Allan (1973) and Herbie (2008).  Born in Kitchener, Elvera lived most of her life in St. Catharines and had a fulfilling career as a wife, mother and Montessori directress and latterly as Stephen’s business partner.  She was a skilled craftperson and member of the Niagara Old Time Fiddlers.  Elvera was a kind and thoughtful person who always went out of her way to help others and she will be greatly missed by her extended family and many friends.  Sincere thanks to CCAC and Paramed for the care and comfort they provided.
The family will receive friends at the Vineland Chapel of the Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St., on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  A reception will follow in the Tallman Fireside Room.  Interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.  Flowers are fine - Elvera loved flowers – but if you prefer to make a donation, please donate to Wellspring Niagara.
