I knew Heinz, in the professional sense. He has been my patient for the past fifteen years. I'd come to know Heinz as a kind man with a gentle heart and a subtle sense of humour. When I last saw him, last month, he was joking with me about my upcoming birthday. He didn't fill the room with his presence, but you certainly knew he was there....always smiling, always a kind word, always looking out for his mother. He will be missed.
