Obituary of Dorothy Lynds

Lynds, Dorothy Louise (nee Lawson) - June 08, 1928 to Oct. 11, 2017.  It’s with great sadness & a heavy heart that Brian & Cindy Allen & Nancy & Ron Huckla announce the passing of their much loved aunt & surrogate mother Dorothy at Linhaven Home for the Aged in St Catharines.  Beloved wife & soul mate of Randolph for 70yrs.  Dearly loved sister of Frances Lawson.  Predeceased by brothers, Douglas (Della), Malcolm (Evelyn) and sisters Joyce Keefe (Roy), Evelyn Crysler (John), Joan Campbell (Allan), Ada Lynburner (Mike) & baby sister Freda Lawson.  Predeceased by parents Murray & Kathleen Lawson.  Cherished by many sisters & brother-in-laws & nieces & nephews in Ontario & on the East Coast.
Dorothy was born & raised in New Brunswick. Dorothy & Randy moved to St Catharines, where they were dedicated to their family in the area.  Dorothy worked for many years at Sears Canada & with Randy became dedicated members  of the Church of Christ on Ontario St in St Catharines. She will be missed by the many cherished friends she & Randy made there.
The family wish to give many thanks to Dr. Wong & the staff of Linhaven for the dedicated & excellent care of both Dorothy & Randy.
Visitation will be at Tallman’s Funeral Home, 3277 King St., Vineland from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday Oct. 12, 2017 with the funeral service being held at The Church of Christ at 439 Ontario St., St Catharines at 1 p.m. on Oct. 13, 2017.  If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
