Dear Family of Mary and Ernie Reimer!
A very belated word of sympathy for your parents and grandparents. Your Mother Mary sang in a trio, together with Mary's sister Kathy, during our years at OBS, now Niagara Christian Collegiate in Fort Erie, ON. We not only harmonized, but had lots of fun together. Your Dad was also a friend at OBS. Our paths separated after marriage, because my husband Peter and I served in Japan for 45 years. During furloughs we occasionally met. So many pleasant memories! I was so sad that she had to be in care for so long.
May this Christmas season bring you many happy memories of your Mother. Blessings from Mary (nee Klassen from Virgil) Derksen.

Mary was a stalwart member of the " Jammers" ( those who made the preserves for the Heritage Gift Shop in Jordan.). She procured the church for us to make our jams in and was there every time with goodies for the helpers. We are very grateful for her much needed help and devotion to our cause....The Museum in Jordan. Thank you Mary. ( and Ernie for your humour).

Dear family of Mary Reimer...Our sincere condolences to all of you at this time.We remember her fondly for her friendliness and good nature. One memory stands out in our minds was when she wrote a hilarious article for the graduating class of Stu's year about "Catching the school bus". We hope this article is in her collection of writings
.
We will miss her at the "Home" even she though she wasnt very responsive the last while I (Frieda) looked for her on Monday evenings.May the Lord be near you as you lay your Mom to rest.

Aunt Mary, who loved all manner of events and celebrations, made it Home in time to celebrate Christmas in Heaven. How wonderful it that? We understand the sadness of those left behind, having ourselves sent our parents ahead, where they met her at the Gates, I'm sure. We trust the Lord Himself will comfort you as you mourn - He promised he would. Matt 5:4.

As a teacher in "the old Eden", it was always a treat to meet Mary at school events and parent-teacher interviews. She was consistently supportive on behalf of students and encouraging among all in her presence. May you, as family, take pleasure in celebrating the exceeding goodness of God who brings closure to life on the ground by taking His children into His very presence. How amazing is that! Eternity in full and constant union with Christ!

I rejoice that Mary (‘Aunt Mickey’ to me/us) is reunited not only w Ernie and w my dad, but w her Lord who called her home. My heart shares in the grief of those left behind, and I pray that consolation is found in recounting the countless adventures of this immensely spirited ‘farm girl’. Hers was a beautiful light.
