Obituary of Dennis Brian Ballinger

Ballinger, (Dick) Dennis Brian – Dennis passed on January 12, 2018.  He is survived by his sons Marcus and Matthew, daughter-in-law Christine, as well as his grandchildren Jacob, Nolan, Lauren and Luke.

The merits and accomplishments humbly gathered by this amazing individual are many.  His life stories were legendary.  Ask anyone who had the blessing to have conversed with him and they will confirm he was without question, a well-travelled and interestingly accomplished individual.  At one point holding the height record for a glider in Vermont, to saving an American city from an enviromental disaster might well serve as book ends encompassing the breadth of his accomplishments, with so much more encompassed within.  As for his intelligence, before the internet came along, it was always ask dad/gramps.  He was the original Google.  Finally, as for personality, no matter what adversity he might have been working through at the time, he would always put you first, usually by offering a cup of tea, an ear to listen and then give the most wonderful advice crafted through a lifetime of experience.  The world is a better place for having had him in it.  And that smile of his…  He will be missed.

Cremation has taken place.  According to his wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service.  Any donations can be made to the Salvation Army or World Vision.
