Obituary of Benjamin Janzen

Janzen, Benjamin John - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ben Janzen on February 7th, 2018, at the young age of 31, surrounded by his loving wife, family and close friends. Ben went to be with Jesus on February 7, 2018. Ben fought the good fight, finished the race and kept his faith right until the very end. Ben is survived by his adored wife, Amy Janzen, beloved children, Brooke (5) and Kendal (2), his mother and father, Kathy and Robert Janzen, brother, Matt Janzen (Ellyse)  and sister Sarah Reimer (Zack) as well as Ben’s father and mother- in-law, Donald and Christine Forrer, sister-in-law Caitlin Mayer (nieces Brylee and Addison) and brother-in-law Jake Forrer (Cole). He will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.  Ben was such a proud dad and loving husband. He fought so hard to be here for his family. Ben’s strength and faith were admired by many. 

If desired, donations to Hospice Niagara or Walker Family Cancer Centre will be gratefully accepted. Ben was so thankful for the wonderful staff at the Walker Cancer Centre in St.Catharines as well as the caring staff at Hospice Niagara.  Family will accept visitors on Monday February 12th at Southridge Community Church in St.Catharines from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday February 13th at Southridge Community Church in St.Catharines at 10:00am followed by interment at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
