Hi, I am the daughter of Robert Milton Agate (your dad's twin brother)...I shared your dad's personal stories at my dad's funeral per tom's request. I got to see your mom and dad on their last visit to the west coast. My husband and I have just returned to Ontario, settling in Barrie just 13 short days ago. I seem to remember there is a Beacon family reunion every year. I would love to connect with members of my family. You can contact me Bobbi (Roberta) Bell at 705-792-6713 Or email me at bobbibell54@gmail.com

John, Diane & family.....our sincere sympathy on Tom's death. My memories go back to the early days of his practice when I was in Beamsville High School (late 50's)! Dr. Agate sent me to a specialist for braces & I was his patient until just before his retirement when John took over. Judy Culp

Dear John, Diane & Family Sending our sympathy to all. Not everyone is as fortunate to have their parents as long as that. Your parents lived their lives well, and gave back to the community for many years. May you remember many fond times spent together as you go through the days ahead. To all the Agates, Your dad was a wonderful man and mentor to us when we established our dental practice in Beaamsville. Always quick with a smile and itching to tell a good joke made him at ease with everyone. He will be missed. With sympathy, Ken and Jennifer Southward

To the Agate Family, We wish to offer our thoughts and prayers at the passing of your father. I went to him from a very young age, probably pretty close to 50 plus years. We had lots of good chats about politics. I also remember Dr. Agate buying a prime rib roast from the shop, that he was going to cook up for a party. He did like to cook. I will admit though I was never very comfortable sitting in the dentist chair. Dave

Our hearts go out to Dr. Agate's family at their time of loss. For me, Dr. Agate was the answer to "no fear" dentistry. For my children, he made the experience somewhat fun as he turned them "upside down" to see their teeth long before they were old enough to sit in the chair. He cared for everyone and it was obvious. He will be part of wonderful memories.

Please know you are all in out thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. I remember as a former family patient ,Uncle Tom would always have a joke for us or ask us questions when our mouths were full of dental instruments. One Saturday he let me be his assistant when working on one of my younger siblings. Such a kind hearted Man! He will be missed by many. With love, your Laning cousins and Families.

To the Agate Family, Tom was a great guy but an even better role model as a professional. During the amazing feat of practising dentistry for 55 years one never heard a complaint or any negativity about him. That any of us in the professions could equal such an accomplishment is simply wishful thinking. He will not be forgotten. Most sincerely, Scott Peaker

I’m catching up Tom...
Saw you briefly at The Jordan House a decade or so ago, with your Daughter.
Such an extended member of the Salter FamilySusan, Tom & Bill & Parents, playing Bridge with Wilson & Kay, and Andy Russell &Co., as well as being our family Dentist.
Loved it when Murray Howard would tell us how you would load up his facial oral cavity (mouth) and then tell him a side-splitting joke.
