Obituary of Alan Mahood

MAHOOD, Alan John - It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of our 'Ace' at the age of 83 on Thursday, November 28, 2013. He leaves behind his dedicated loving wife of 63 years, Norma (Honsberger). Beloved father of Jayne (Adrian) Holierhoek, Michael (Heather), and Kelly. Dear grandfather of Ryan (Teresa) Holierhoek, Blair Holierhoek, Andrew and Nicholas. Special Great 'Papa Ace' to Austin, Schylar and Maxwell Holierhoek. Survived by his broher Kenneth (June) of London, ON and predeceased by brother Ernest and his parents, Gertrude and Jack. Al was employed by Ontario Hydro for over 35 years. He was involved in sports all his life as a player and later as a coach, including winning a Canadian Softball Championship. Al was an avid golfer and he and Norma loved their winters in Florida. Mickey's gonna miss him. The family will receive friends at the TALLMAN FIRESIDE ROOM, 3277 King St., Vineland on Monday, December 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Memorial remembrances to the Jordan Lions Club or Lincoln County Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
