Obituary of Abe Warkentin

WARKENTIN, Abe - At the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Saturday, January 4, 2014, Abe Warkentin of Virgil aged 87 years. Loving husband of Betty for 62 years. Dear father of Marlene (Doug) Caldwell, Shirley (Dennis) Dick, Janet (Brian) Elliott, Henry (Rhonda) Warkentin. Grandfather of Doug, Joe, Jake, Denise, (Rachel -predeceased), Ashley, Justus and Weston. Brother of Margaret (Ray) Robert. Predeceased by brothers Henry and Otto. Abe had been employed at Bright's Wines for 43 years and was an active Virgil Volunteer Fireman for 41 years. The family will receive friends at the BETHANY MENNONITE CHURCH, 572 East-West Line, Niagara on the Lake on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Church on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 2 pm. Interment at Niagara Lake Shore Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Mennonite Disaster Services.
