Obituary of George Knight
Knight, George Henry (Jan. 28, 1921 - Jan.14, 2014) He fought a long battle with many challenges, especially in his last year, but even the strong grow tired. Brought together again with his wife Margaret (April 15/13) who gave him love and comfort for 60 years. Loving and cherished father to George (Ina), Chuck (Irma), Debbie (Brian) House and Debbie Knight. Children always brought a smile to his face but none as much as his adored granddaughters, Lori Knight (Adam), Kristin Knight (Adam) and Brier House. These girls could do no wrong in his eyes and he was very proud of them. George is also survived by his brother Roy Knight, sister Joyce Meades, sisters-in-law Lucy Zamprogna, Norma McKenna and Marion Eborall. As well as many nieces and nephews from the Eborall and Knight families. Predeceased by brothers Charles, Leonard, Leslie, Douglas and sisters Elsie, Catherine and Marion. Along with several wonderful sister and brother in-laws. George was from a large family of 10 and a man of few words, but family meant everything to him. He served in WWII proudly with his 3 brothers. Once he returned home he worked at Vineland Growers until he retired. George enjoyed gardening, especially his prized tomatoes, his Ford (Henry) cars and playing (winning) cards. Thank-you to the staff at Deer Park Villa for their care and compassion and also to Lori B. for her continued support and visits. If desired donations to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there is no visitation or service, wishing to be remembered for the happy times he shared. One of George's favourite pastimes was sitting on the front porch watching the world go by, so now he is at peace to continue watching over all of us.
