Obituary of Bert Luttjehuizen

Luttjehuizen, Gysbertus (Bert Lincoln) It is with great sadness that the family of Bert Luttjehuizen announce his passing on January 23, 2014 at the McNally House Hospice in Grimsby, Ontario at the age of 81. Bert will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Dina, as well as his children John (Janice) Luttjehuizen, Joanne (Alan) Tessmer, Kevin (Linda) Luttjehuizen, and Cindy Luttjehuizen. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Brenda (Sean) McIntyre, Kris (Janine) Tessmer, Skye Luttjehuizen and Kate Luttjehuizen, and his great grandchildren Chloe and Hudson. Bert is survived by his sister, Janny Anderson and predeceased by his brother Frank Franklin, his sister Klanjo Piche as well as his parents Franciscus and Klasina. Originally from the Netherlands, he moved to Canada at the age of nineteen. He and his wife were the founders of Harmony House Jewellers in Grimsby, Dunnville Jewellers and Hagersville Jewellers, which still remain in the family. He enjoyed working on his farm in Beamsville and taking care of his many beloved animals. Very special thank you all the wonderful people from McNally House Hospice for their compassion and care. A private family service will be held.
