Obituary of Jacob Peters

PETERS, Jacob - "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. ...having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better." Philippians 1:21, 23 On Sunday, January 26, 2014, in the LORD's perfect time, He called to himself his child, Jacob Peters. Jacob accepted the LORD JESUS as his personal Savior whom he served for over 50 years. He was preceded to glory by his wife Judith (Guenter) Peters on February 25th, 2013. His faith and his family is the heritage that he has left behind. His children include: Elisabeth Peters, Mary (Dennis) Kimberly, Martha (Roger) Robidas, Sharon Pierre, Margaret (Norbert) Seehagel, John (Debbie) Peters, Nancy (John)Redekop, Susan (Cecil) Benjamin, Paul (Sharlene) Peters and David (Denise) Peters. He also leaves behind 56 grandchildren, and 11 of their spouses and 13 great grandchildren. One grandchild has preceded him to heaven (1986). He is survived by three brothers and one sister. He loved to share the Gospel of his LORD with those he met, desiring that they might be saved. The family will receive friends at the VINELAND CHAPEL of the TALLMAN FUNERAL HOMES, 3277 King St., on Wednesday, January 29th at 6-8 pm and again on Thursday, January 30th at 1 pm at Zion Free Reformed Church, 1075 Boyle Rd., Fenwick, with the funeral service beginning at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Lane's Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Berean Bible Society would be appreciated by the family.
