Obituary of Constance Johnstone (nee Warder)

Johnstone, Constance Winnifred (nee Warder)- Passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Niagara Health Services. Cherished daughter of James and Beatrice Warder (both predeceased). Beloved wife of the late. Wilfred Johnstone. Loving mother of Barry (Sheila) and Roger (Judy). Cherished Grandma of Pam (Hugh predeceased), Ian (Cathy), David, Cheryl (Dave), Sarah, Dan and Stephen (Rebecca) and great-Grandma to Hilary (Brian), Andrew, Gillian, Keaton, Mason, Jordan, Kiley, Matthew, Jacob, Jackston and Ainsley. Loving sister of Phil (Jean both predeceased). Win will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews and friends especially Mickey and Glenys Warder of the Isle of Wight and Zonya and Alan Puttee. Born on the Isle of Wight, England, Win met Wilf while stationed there during WWII and soon became one of the many war brides who ventured to a new life in Canada. Win and Wilf settled in Toronto to live and raise their family. Win was always busy �" she worked for many years as a medical office assistant until she retired in her 70's. She was a member of the Anglican Church Women for more than 30 years, a member of the Chancel Guild and dedicated many hours of volunteering at True Davidson Acres Nursing Home in Toronto and Meals on Wheels. A private family service will be held at the Tallman Funeral Home, 3277 King Street, Vineland on Friday, April 4th, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate that expressions of sympathy be made to a charity of your choice.
