Obituary of Douglas Lacombe

Lacombe, Douglas Richard - On Thursday May 1, 2014 Doug Lacombe, surrounded by family, passed away peacefully at his home. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Simone, and his two beautiful daughters, Ramona and Angela, and their husbands, Greg and Michael. He was so proud of his grandchildren Kiefer, Connor, Dylan, Jacob, Tanner, and Maci and his siblings Dini, Ron, and Debbie, as well as his wife's sisters Ramona and Jaqueline and her family. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Woodland, Doug's angel, and his staff and the staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital as well as Dr. Hott and the staff at the Juravinski Cancer Centre. A special thanks to the nurses who gave him such good care at home. Doug worked at Abitibi for 37 years. He was a special man who will be missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St. Vineland, on Sunday, May 4 at 1:00pm with a reception to follow in the Fireside Room. Memorial donations may be made to West Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
