Dear Mary - We were so very sorry to hear about Gus' passing. Gus was one of my first friends at Calvary - he always had such a huge smile and a kind word. I know you all are going to miss him. Praise God that this will be a short time apart! We look forward to the reunion one day! May God give you great peace and comfort. I'm sorry we won't be able to come to the funeral - we will be out of the country. Consider yourself hugged!!

Mary, I hope you know that all of Gus' brothers from DareUSA are thinking of you this week. Your husband was a great Team member and a great friend to me. I hope to see you in the Fall when I return to Canada.

To Mary and her loving family. I am very sad to learn the news of Gus' passing. I had the privilege to work with Gus at Dare (I was the first of the US Sales Team to join Gus back in 1987). Gus was the ultimate gentleman and I considered him a very close friend. I am certain everyone that connected with Gus all shared the same sentiments of Gus. Mary, Gus, my wife Gail, and I had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy two amazing Dare trips together. The first was a cruise from Florida ending up 1,100 miles up the Amazon River. The second, a cruise from Singapore to Bali. On that trip we were able to give Gus a super retirement sendoff while on the Sebourn Cruise Line. It was a magical night matching the magical Gus. I can go on and on to mention my special memories and fun times with Gus. A few memories to share... Gus taking me to the Niagra Falls for the first time, Gus' left hand turn in front of the Indianapolis Speedway, Gus eating wasabi when he thought he was eating green tea ice cream, the endless supply of cash he kept in his money belt, our matching suits when the bus driver pulled up in Washington DC, again our many matching suits and clothes, his loving devotion and support to his beautiful wife Mary and family. All very happy memories. While working together at Dare, we stayed closely connected. With the distance and living in separate countries, I unfortuantely lost touch with Gus in recent years. About two years ago (to my surprise) around Christmas, Gus called me to just say hi. We had an amazing conversation. It was great to reconnect. I was very pleased to hear how wonderful he and his family were getting along. With Gus, he never complained, the glass was always half full, never half empty. Please know that Gus' charm and kindness touched me in a very specail way. Gus will be missed and I do understand the pain you are feeling. I lost my father five years ago. Gus and my father were very similar and loved by many. Please accept my deep heartfelt condolences. From Gus' friend Kevin Rysavy.

Dear Mary and Family, My condolences to you at this time of great loss, my family’s thoughts and prayers are with you this week. You may not remember me, we first met many years ago at a BCDA event in Florida. At the time I was working for one of Dare’s US distributors and my Wife Joanne and I attended. I had the pleasure of knowing Gus initially across the desk, I was a buyer at Yankee Foods and Gus was responsible for that account. I was fortunate to join Michael’s US team after Gus retired and continue there for just under 15 years. I remember fondly the great stories told by many on the team about the great times had by all. Gus was a man of great integrity, spirit and kindness, the world needs more folks like him in it. Always smiling and always thinking of others. Kind Regards, Joanne and Jim Byrne

Dear Aunt Mary and Family: We were so sad to hear about Uncle Gus passing. He holds a special place in our hearts. We have many fond memories of your visits to Saskatchewan. Uncle Gus kept us all smiling and looking forward to your next visit. We especially remember the time we gathered with some of the Uncles and Aunts visited us at our cabin in Northern Saskatchewan. It was three days of lots of laughter and great stories. Uncle Gus was an enthusiastic contributor to all the events. Our prayers are with you as you find peace in this time of loss. Love Wendel and Wendy
