Obituary of James Harper

Harper, James Arthur - It is with sorrow that the family of James Arthur (Art) Harper announce his passing on June 11, 2014, in his 77th year, surrounded by his family. Art was the loved son of James and Frances Harper (deceased), and best friend and husband to Linda (Erb) and brother (Bruv) to Gord Harper and his wife Joy. Missing him will be his children, daughter Cherie Inksetter, son Jim Harper and his wife Cathi, son Jason Harper and his wife Karen. He was grandpa to Bob, Michelle, Lindsay, Michael, Matthew, Marty, Katie and great grandpa to Tiana. Art was a member of Perfection Lodge #616 AF & AM, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, member of Mount Moriah Chapter #19 of the York Rite and member of the Niagara Falls Shrine Club. Art was a long-time employee (retired) of General Refractories of Canada. The family wishes to thank the staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Wards B and C and Joseph Brant Hospital Critical Care Unit for their compassionate care over the last 7 months. As per Art's wishes, he has been cremated and there will be a Masonic Memorial Service at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman's Funeral Home, 3277 King St., on Saturday, June 14th at 7pm. All are welcome and there will be a time of refreshment and remembrance following. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the charity of your choice.
