Obituary of Robert Dickson

Dickson, Robert Lochead (Bob) died peacefully at McNally House in Grimsby on Friday, August 8, 2014 in his 84th year. Bob was born in Lackawanna, NY and lived most of his life in the Niagara area where he attended Stamford Collegiate and then the University of New Brunswick. He was founder and owner of Dickson Brokerage Co Ltd. of Hamilton. Bob was also a founding member of Twenty Valley Golf Club and past president of the Kinsmen Club of Beamsville. He will be sadly missed by Scott Dickson (son), Vicki Dickson (daughter) and Jeff Born, Sue (daughter) and Casey Keus, Dave (son) and Patricia Dickson. Predeceased by Robbie Dickson (son), Robert and Evelyn Dickson (parents), and Bill Dickson (brother). He is survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. The family would like to thank West Niagara Palliative Care Team, Dr. Marshall and all the staff/volunteers of McNally House for the amazing care and attention given to Bob during his final days. At his request there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A donation to McNally House in Bob's name would greatly be appreciated by the family.
