Linda and I will always remember times we and our four kids visited at the farms of Uncle Bill and Aunt Nedra, often to pick up peaches to eat and preserve. I remember visiting them with my mom and dad, Ross and Jean Lumley and my brother Keith from the time of our childhoods. Bill was a keen table tennis player and we had great fun playing this game when we visited. While we knew that Uncle Bill and Aunt Nedra worked very hard on their farms, they always had time for others. We mourn the loss of Uncle Bill but rejoice in his life and the hope that we will see him again on the other side. Our condolences to Aunt Nedra and all of their great family.

I first met Bill, along with Lonny Annable, while working for Leon Lumley in 1972. Later we became neighbours on Jordan Rd. when Bill & Fraser bought the old Hum Douglas farm. Quite often we would see Bill flying his beloved plane over the farm. We often had chats when he rode his bike down the lane to our place on Jordan Harbour. A good neighbour and friend.

I am thinking of you Nedra, Michelle & Fraser during this very sad time. I have so many fond memories as a child playing, visiting & picking fruit on the farm with Bill & you Nedra. Bill always was so kind & giving...truly a gentle giant..it was a joy to have a brief chat with you at the Medical Centre awhile ago...I know Bill will be sadly missed but praise God he is now in Heaven with his Lord. I will keep you all in my prayers.

I also have many fond memories of Uncle Bill. On the farm, showing us how to trim and pick peaches. Watching him build his Fly Baby and later renovate the Champ. Attending air shows. The many family gatherings. On construction sites. At campsites with his bicycle. Many good memories and we will miss him dearly! Our condolences to Aunt Nedra and Fraser and Michelle and their families.
