We will miss Bill. He was a good friend. As part of our dinner club he shared his heritage in meals Diane and him prepared for us. Despite his battle with leukemia, he preserved without complaint. We wouldn't know about his difficult times, because he wouldn't burden us with the details, as he bore them with his quiet strength. Bill was always good for a laugh with his polite sence of humor. We had fun together. He was a gentleman and some one we can model ourselves after. Bill we will remember you Sunday as we ride our 60km in the Big Move Cancer Ride, to which you generously donated. Thank you Bill for your friendship! We will miss you!

Dear Diane, Michael, Larissa & Family We are very sad to hear of Bill's passing. We were not aware of his sickness, and thus, the reason why we were totally shocked. I (Bill) will forever remember the good times we had together, especially on the baseball field, coaching our kids. And, of course, the conversations the two of us have had together. Bill was a great guy and the barbs/laughs we shared will never be forgotten. Although not in touch for the last number of years, we will not ever forget him. Unfortunately, we will not be able to attend the service as we are vacationing overseas. However, rest assured, that our thoughts, prayers and love will be with you always. Bill & Mary Louise Ceroni and Angela, Matthew & Lisa

I don't know where to begin. Bill "Willy, Zeke, Bim... and many more names i called him over the years" will be sorely missed by everyone who met him. He was the best friend anyone could have. Funny, smart, and he could dig a memory out of his head better than anyone. He knew more and cared more about others than he did about himself. I will forever cherish those early days with Bill from grade 5 until we became CA's. He made a mean "dark and stormy"... Viv's new fave drink that will always remind us of the good times we had together. Diane and family my heart and prayers reach out to you at this time. He was a wonderful, wonderful person. See you later Zeke....

Like John Booth, I was a schoolmate of Bill's in public school and high school. We were good friends in those days. While we did not stay in touch after university sent us in different directions, I am glad to say we reconnected in the last few weeks and had a chance to relive some cherished old memories. He was a friendly warm person and smart as a whip. he will be missed. My deepest sympathies to his famly.

We were very saddened to hear from John Booth this morning about Bill's passing. I have seen Bill only a few times over the years but I will always fondly remember our early days at Clarkson Gordon, almost 40 years ago. I will always remember Bill with his keen intellect, sharp wit, wise counsel and humble manner. He was a great person and assuredly has passed on to the very best of places. Our sincerest condolences to Diane and Family Moe and Cindy Hanley

I would like to express my deepest condolences to Bill’s wife and family. I too knew Bill well during the early days at Clarkson Gordon when we were all young and full of life’s anticipation. Bill stood out among an outstanding group of young men and women for his graciousness, invariable good humour and great competence. When I heard the sad news of Bill’s long struggle and way too early demise it reminded me to be happy in my life, being around Bill’s happiness was always infectious for me, and to appreciate every day of good health. My wife recalled Bill coming to our house several times for dinner while we studied to pass the CA Finals. He was organized and hard working and I hoped some of that might rub off on me! As these things happen, our lives grew apart after our Clarkson days. I met Bill again many years later and we shared happy stories about our working and personal lives as easily as we had shared time together many years earlier. I will not forget Bill’s goodness or his good example.
