Obituary of Elspeth Tolhurst

Tolhurst, Elspeth (Elsie) … January 3, 1927 - September 24, 2014… It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the NHS St. Catharines site. Elsie was the loving and devoted wife of Don for 66 years, the beloved mother of Jane (Don), Linda (Dave), Scott (Miriam) and Evelyn. She is survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many friends. Elsie was employed by Sears Canada in St. Catharines for many years. Elsie was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for over forty years and active in teaching Sunday School and catering many church functions. Cremation has taken place. Join us in a memorial service to remember our loved one on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church, 10 Arlington Avenue, St. Catharines. Visitation will begin at the church at 10:00 a.m. with the service following at 11:00 a.m. Thank you to Renal Dept. at NHS St. Catharines site and to the staff at Niagara Gardens for the excellent care given to her in her final days. Donations to the Kidney Foundation and Bethel Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family. Love you lots!!!!
