Obituary of Ruth Morton

MORTON, Ruth Hartman - 1925-2014 - With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Ruth Hartman Morton (nee Douglas) on Sat., Oct. 4, in her 90th year. Predeceased by her devoted husband of 49 years, John Douglas Morton, she will be missed by her daughters Peggy (Bob Tytaneck), Pat (Terry Ireland d.), Carol, Jane (Bruce Macdonald) and Helen (Martin Rabot), as well as her 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Ruth was born and raised in Capreol, ON, graduated from the University of Toronto in Occupational Therapy, and was a long-time resident of St. Catharines where she was an active member of St. Giles Church. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at the United Mennonite Home, Vineland. Memorial service to be held on Fri., Oct. 10 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 205 Linwell Rd., St. Catharines. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Giles Church, Crohn's and Colitis Canada or The Owl Foundation would be welcome.
