Obituary of Rubena (Ruby) Murdoch

Ruby Murdoch has gone to be with the Lord she loved. She struggled courageously with cancer over the last number of months of her life and passed in her sleep in the early morning October 21. She will be missed by her son Bill (Sue) Murdoch (Orangeville), daughter Beverly (Roger) Demers (Wainfleet), 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren. She will be missed by brother Rueben and wife Vel Friesen, sisters Hilda Hubele (Calgary), Evelyn Epps (Selkirk), Josie Woods (St. Catharines) sister Miriam (Chuck) Matthews (Indianapolis) and sister-in-law Diane Friesen (St. Catharines), along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her dear brother Stan Friesen and parents John and Emma Friesen. Ruby was a special lady that always went out of her way to make people feel welcome and to help whenever she could. Her laughter and encouraging spirit will be missed by all. Funeral service will be held at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes on Saturday October 25 at 11am with one hour of visitation before the service. Interment at Vineland Cemetery with reception following at Tallman Fireside Room. If desired, memorial donations to Hospice Niagara or the Gideons would be appreciated.
