Obituary of Michael Zachar

ZACHAR, Michael - At West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Monday, December 8, 2014 after a brief illness. Mike Zachar aged 72 years. Survived by his wife Pat (nee Holmes) in their 50th year of marriage, daughters Christine (Brad Vasko), Karen (Cataldo) Zuccaro and his grandchildren Andrew, Lauren, Charlie and Gavin. Son of the late Antony and Katrina Zachar. Brother of Anne (late Mike) Lashansky, Walter and Barbara, John (late Betty) and the late William. Brother-in-law of Doug (Linda) Holmes, Ron (Linda) Holmes and Marilyn Holmes. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mike was retired after 37 years of employment at General Motors. Mike is resting at the VINELAND CHAPEL of TALLMAN FUNERAL HOMES, 3277 King Street, where the family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-8:30pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, December 15 at 11am with interment at Mount Osborne Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
