Dear Bill, Diane, Tom and Joan and families, Your mom, Aunt Margaret to us, was the last of the super-acheiving Patterson generation. As a professional nurse she seemed able to cope with all the vagueries of your dad's wartime experiences and repercussions and to enjoy life as well. The last time I saw her in the residence after Jack had passed away and the rowhouse given up, she told me all about her life with Jack, his brother Don who used to phone her but then was gone, and her neive Mary Clark who lived in Toronto. She could not connect this with me standing before her looking old. However, she was very pleased with the residence in Vineland - it was just like being in residence at the TGH, where they served you all your meals! She seemed to be very content with her situation and her life. Please accept our condolences on your mom's passing. With love from Mary, Clive and the family.
