Dear Ethel and family,
I want to send heartfelt condolences to the Ewert family as you mourn the loss of John, your dear partner in life, father and grandfather. He has been such a part of Beginnings family these past 20 or so years and he has been much appreciated for the care and love he has shown to all the babies that you Ethel and he have had in your care over the years. He was quietly there in the background, smiling, helpful, supportive to new parents, and great at the computer! He would gladly drive to pick up babies at hospitals, take them to appointments with Ethel, and for special visits to the office if need be. Often he was the first "dad" in our babies' lives, how wonderful to know that he made an impression on them so very early on.I know I will so miss him and the role he has played in so many adoptive parents' lives. From all the adoptive parents who are not yet aware of John's passing, I know they would echo my words and want to say "thank you" to Ethel and John for sharing your home and hearts with so many families over the years. Beginnings also thanks your family for thinking of our charity in remembrance of John and the work you have both done these many years. From all of us......... a most appreciated thank you.
