Obituary of Frank Steingart

STEINGART, Frank Gerald - At the age of 86, died at the Niagara Health Centre on May 22, 2013 after a brief illness. Frank was a loving husband to Margaret (Neufeld), a quiet and ever available father to Gerry (Elizabeth), Ken (Violet) and Kathleen (Ron) and a supportive grandfather to Steven (Carol), Christopher (Jillian), Joel Steingart, Emma and Jacob Giesbrecht. Additionally he was a GREAT grandfather to Marcus, Alexandria and Rowan. In addition to his commitment to his family, Frank lived life to the fullest through his work as a transport truck driver, through his involvement as a member of the St. Catharines United Mennonite Church, and his many, many years of service as a volunteer at the Christian Benefit Shop. Frank is survived by his extended family; Sarah (Victor) Ginter, Gertrude Anderson and pre-deceased by his parents Jacob and Helena Steingart, and family Mary (Harvey) Hansen, Tina (Isaak) Driedger, Jake (Doris) Steingart, Helen (Peter) Driedger, Henry (Ellie) Steingart, and Leonard Anderson. Visitation will be held on Sunday May 26th from 2 - 4 pm. and 6:30 - 8:30 pm. at St. Catharines United Mennonite Church, 335 Linwell Rd., St. Catharines. A Service celebrating his life will be held on Monday May 27th at 11 a.m. A family committal service will have been held earlier. Memorial donations to Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated by the family.
