Bo was one of my best friends growing up in Moose Jaw. In all the time I knew him we never had a major argument. He was just a great guy. I remember going to Regina to watch Bo try out for The Mighty Saskatchewan Roughriders. Instilled in my memory is an outstanding catch he made flying horizontal in the air. Alas, he did not make the squad. He was too light. He departed for Thunder Bay and I never saw him again. But I never forgot him either.

Was a pal of Bob's back in the fifties in his hometown of Moose Jaw SK when he was known as "Gob" and "Idiot" and had aspirations of becoming a pro football player in the CFL. Played in the junior ranks with both the Saskatoon Hilltops and the Regina Rams before heading to the Lakehead and then St. Catherines. A truly great sense of humor and an eye for the ladies. Last time I talked to him was back in the eighties when he phoned me in Lethbridge AB around 2 or 3 in the AM in a state of gleeful intoxication and reminisced down memory lane as per his beloved Boston Bruins and the extinct St. Louis Browns of the American League as well as his favorite baseball player growing up, bespectacled hard rock catcher Clint Courtney of the Browns.
