I am so sorry to have learned of Jim's passing. Please accept sincere condolences from myself and Mary Ann. Jim was an absolutely great guy, super sense of humour and a very talented individual. Besides great memories of Jim, I am fortunate to have one of the 'pieces' he created for me/us which will mean so much more to me now.
I am truly sorry he has left this good earth.

Our family was privileged to have known and to have Jim Vidal as a friend for many years. In good times and bad, he was always there, putting a smile on our faces as effortlessly as he could solve a complex project, talk history or build a masterpiece out of metal. A true gentleman through and through, with a kind heart and a quiet and steady demeanor. In keeping with his wishes and the example he set, no flowers will be sent. However, all of us will lend a hand to others and think of him fondly when we do.

Rob and I are sorry to hear of Jim passing from this world. He was definitely one of the most generous and cheerful guys ever. I enjoyed working in the vineyard on the farm, as well as picking tomatoes from his garden. Rob, of course, remembers Jim's mechanical skills in bailing out problems with the old cars, tractors and every other implement that needed Jim's clever solutions. We will think of Jim fondly, as we do his brother Ron. Good friends over the years. We pass along our condolences to Joyce and to all of the family. His parting wishes that we simply lend a hand to others really touched us. Hope we can do that.

Jim was a wonderful man. He always seemed at peace with everything. He loved his workshop and was quite pleased to show it to us. My husband Steve and Jim were Lions together and enjoyed each other's company.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. One of the worlds last gentleman!
