Our prayers are with you during these very difficult days. We are so grateful for the way Kerri was accepted into your family and loved by her new Grandpa when she married Robert. She has so many great memories of the last 6 years and we know he will be missed by all who knew him. Will always remember the quartet at the wedding. What a lasting legacy he leaves behind. May the presence of Jesus, whose presence he is in, be with you all until you meet him again.

As my grade 8 teacher and principal at McArthur Public School in 1964-65 Art was always, of course, referred to respectfully as Mr. Durksen, which is how I knew him. The years passed by and over that time our paths would occasionally cross. On those rare moments, usually at a shopping mall, I would recognize him and engage him in conversation, and even then as a grown adult I would still address him in that same respectful manner as "Mr. Durksen", and he always remembered me. To the families of Art please allow me to offer my sincere condolences at his passing. A true gentleman.

Dear Anne and family, I am sorry to hear of your loss. I have wonderful memories of Art and being in your home. He drove me to many nurseries and parks collecting leaves and researching. I was welcomed into your family while I was in college and I will never forget your kindness. Art will be dearly missed. Love and prayers from Laura and family.
Dear Anne, I just want to add our condolences. What a blessing though to know where he is and that you will see him again one day. We appreciate so much how you treated Laura - couldn't have asked for more. I remember that we never worried about her going back to St. Catharines by bus - Art was always there to meet her at the bus depot.
