This is a poem I wrote for my grandmother.
For Nanny
For almost 40 years you cocooned me in your love.
Beautiful and elegant, kind and gentle.
Multi talented and good at everything you put your mind to.
Warm and welcoming, your home was always a place I could go to feel safe and be myself.
You comforted me, gave me unconditional love and told me stories of your life while we relaxed at your home.
The love radiating from your heart was passed down through the generations of your family and your beautiful smile touched everyone who knew you.
You are much more than a beloved grandmother, you will always be my best friend.

Dear Lorraine, Colleen and Sharon
I will always think of Audrey as my "other mother" as she treated me as a daughter. She was the kindest, funniest and most beautiful woman I have ever known.
I have never met a couple more in love than your mom and dad and I am filled with joy that they are together again. May you find peace in this sad time through your memories of this wonderful woman.

My sincere condolences to Sharon, Colleen, Lorraine and the entire family circle. I have many happy memories of my visits to Canada as a little girl and staying with Joe and Audrey. They were such a wonderful couple, and she was a beautiful lady. I am sure she is now in a happy place with her beloved 'Irish'. May she rest in perfect peace.

Dear Family, That picture is the way I remember your Mom. She was my first "real" hairdresser, and I loved going & getting my hair done. She was always so friendly. Mike worked with your Dad at Dominion store meat cutting. A true gentleman indeed, and Mike loved working with him. Praying for peace as you say your final goodbye to a wonderful Mom. Sincerest condolences Mike & Kathy
