We want to offer our heartfelt condolences to the whole family. I slept very poorly earlier this week and as I lay awake at night dear "Tante Jo" (as I knew her) came to mind. I was surprised in that I haven't seen her for probably over a year, but I did take a while to think of her and then prayed for her. Who knew? My mom kept me updated over the years as to how she was doing, though that was not always very current. We felt for her and the health challenges she faced these past few years. We know it wasn't easy for her or any of you who lovingly saw to her needs. I have dear memories of her being a big part of my life growing up, sitting next to her in Sunday meeting, frequently visiting for 'coffee' or even a sleep over or two in Winona, playing games on that wonderful round table in the kitchen or having a snack after skating out back I still think of you all (Elizabeth especially) when I eat a very fresh ripe tomato or a particularly good cucumber salad (your mom's dressing was the best!) I think it was her meticulous garden and flower beds even that made an early and lasting impression on me. I love gardening and often think back to how hers looked.
We sorrow not as others who have no hope but rejoice that "Tante Jo" is now peaceful and happy in the presence of our precious Lord and Savior. What a promotion! Love and hugs to you all, So very sorry we will not be able to attend the services since we have committed to other travel plans this week
