I was so sad to hear about the passing of Mrs Milne. Mrs Milne was my grade 1 teacher at Victoria school in '83/'84. I have so many fond memories of having her as a teacher. We would sing songs like Baby Beluga and she taught me how to add and subtract while using colourful sticks. If someone in the class was whistling she would say in a sing song voice "would my merry whistler please stop whistling. "
Some of the ways she taught me to learn I have used with my own daughter. She clearly had an impact on my life.
Please know that I am thinking of everyone during this sad time.
