Obituary of Willy Harry Last

It is with profound sadness that I, Helga Last, announce the passing to eternal life of my lifelong soulmate and love of my life, Willy Last.  Born in Germany in 1936, Willy came to Canada at the age of 18, where we met shortly after, married and started our family.  For many of the 56 years of our marriage, Willy worked as a tradesman in the auto industry, but he was most known for his faithful love of Jesus, his unconditional love of people, as well as his steadfast, kind, humble and patient nature.  As a skilled problem solver, he always enjoyed tinkering, building and fixing things in his workshop. He also had a sweet sense of humour, a sweet laugh, and a sweet tooth!

I miss him beyond measure, as do our children Wilfred (JD) of Darlings Island, NB, Siegfred (Kelly) of St Catharines, and Daniel (Carina) of Sweden.  He will also be missed by his 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 4 siblings and extended family.  In Heaven, he will be welcomed by our daughter Angela, his parents Willy and Roselea as well my parents Fritz and Charlotte Jaeckel. 

A gathering to pay respects to the family will take place at 1pm on Monday, July 16th, 2018, at the Tallman Funeral Home, 3277 King Street, Vineland, followed by a service at 2pm.  

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bible Society, Salvation Army or Compassion Canada would be appreciated.
